Great place to walk your pups offleash. People were very nice and there's a beautiful beach for your water doggos 🐶 to swim!

I take my dogs here nearly every day. When its low tide there is plenty of beach to walk down. A great spot for off leash doggies to swim and play.

We arrived a bit late in the day. There are several trails from the parking lot down to the little beach. As this is an off leash dog area, we encountered lots of friendly people with their even more friendly dogs.The trails take you under the BNSF tressel. They wend their way through grassy open areas and among Himalayan Blackberry brambles, following the creek and other watercourses. Alongside the beach is a long, decommissioned pier, which the City of Bellingham just traded for some other property. As they develop the pier, this promises to be an even more lucrative attraction.

Always a great spot to take dogs. The beach is a fun spot for them to swim and everything feels pretty safe and enclosed. Fantastic for people who want to walk a really pleasant 30 minute loop after they installed the stairwell. Park at the BTC lot for easy parking. Also connects to big squalicum park if you want a much longer loop.
