Having a natural area near the center of Belllingham is wonderful. The view from the tower is 'good' even though many trees have grown up to and even higher then the tower. I think it now needs another story to restore the view. The park area is mostly up hill and is an extra workout route for joggers. The trees are not identified so this is not a botanic site like a garden might be. It's not a site to go for lunch as I attempted, later going to another park in Bellingham. But it is lovely as a bit of nature .

Awesome park in the city that resembles the backcountry. The trails make you feel like you’ve immediately entered a different place. Thick trees, steep-ish hills, and well marked trails! My only complaint is that the view out from the overlook is… limited.

A semiprecious stone hidden in the middle of Bellingham! I didn't think that much of the arboretum until I started exploring it more recently. There are so many more cool rock formations and lovely trails than I known after living in Bellingham for 10 years. I especially like going in the spring as all the plants are coming up and blooming.
