Probably one of the most unsafe places I’ve ever been and I’ve been to shady places. I am in no means a small guy or someone who can’t handle myself but security is lax to say the least. I missed my connection train. Amtrak could of put me on a train that is booked by them that had room and I could of left in 15 minutes. I paid for business class and I would of had to pay again. I had to wait another 3 hours. From what I understand I had it easy. From what I was told from a frequent rider the ticket office is to deny any request they feel is over accommodating. I was told because it was a faster train that made it to my destination 7 minutes quicker. It was not clean to say the least. There was several things that could of probably used security’s attention but they didn’t seem to concerned scratching themselves and BSing.

Great building.

I arrived here from Newark and departed back to New York later in the day. This station is beautiful. De-boarding was a breeze. The signs were easy to follow to the subway. Once I returned you watch the board in the middle of the hall it announces your track and gate and it’s mad rush to get a good seat. A ton of food options as well.

Yes, on the side closest the MFL,(subway transportation across the street) Where the scaffolfing is, the taxi's line up, you can too.
Contact Amtrak via phone or website to get the correct answer or sign up to get info and perks.
Yes
Next to the Cira Center. Once you park, there is a walkway directly into the station you can access from the Cira Center lobby and up the escalators.
It's not a good thing at all. It has limits on the amount of times you can use it for what used to be unlimited with the weekly and monthly trailpasses. It also tracks where you are, what stations you use. SEPTA does not need to be a bank either.
OR u could catch Amtrak...many customer service reps at 30th Street to help you's :-)
You should have time if your train isn't late. The platforms are not very far apart and there are no luggage checks or restrictions. But if you miss that one you can easily get another one because trains to Paoli come every half an hour.
There’s an Avis, enterprise, budget and hertz there for car rentals. Located next to the customer service office.
Calling Septa and/Amtrak would be better suited to answer this question. Or just use Google Maps.
Where in the building are they?
There is an App for that, or please go to Amtrak's website
Hi, i think the nearest train station is Norristown, which is about 20-30 minutes away from Oaks, PA.
I'm really not sure.
Sorry, I'm really not sure. My gut says yes, but I don't know that to be fact.
Usually it's on the 30th street side because the 29th street side is for taxis
Yes....I have.
Parking adjacent to the 30 the street train station is that the parking lot on the property, and what r the rates/day?
Not sure what you mean by drop off sites. At 30th Street there are red caps.
There used to be a satellite type post office next to Wendy's inside the station. There's a post office on chestnut Street near the station.
Check the Amtrack schedule
,, 50000 French soldiers yes you can get anything or go anywhere from 30th Street it is very is very situated to all of your main main destinations on the east coast and you can buy a ticket and feel safe at 30th Street
6:10 a.m.
Try 1-800-USA-RAIL
Last I went it was about $50
Check with amtrak. There is a senior price but it depends on the days and times of travel to determine price
Take Amtrak, about 6.5 hours. Go to Amtrak website, you can buy tickets or go to 30th st station and get a ticket
Yes it does check the Amtrak website for scheduling, that is how I got my ticket for the trip out there . I hope this is helpful
Yes the Warminster Line
Train
Different prices on depends where you going
Yes they do
It is a 45 minute drive at best. If you are going there to take a train, allow a lot more time for traffic.
U can buy tickets on the train Prices vary according to your stop
Yes, 24-hour parking available, short term (couple hours) to long term (week, month) round the clock.
30th Street Station then about a ~10 minute walk to campus.
30th street station has handicapped bathroom stalls. Larger space...if your handler is of the same gender as you, shouldn't be an issue..unfortunately I am unsure of standard alone handicapped bathrooms in or around station.
You can use Septa KeyCard for Broad Street line, not sure on PATCO.
Don't know but I will give you a few tips. 1. Amtrak website can give you prices. 2. Holidays, weekends and certain times of day cost much more than other times. My daughter lives in Manhatten and a few weeks ago, a return ticket to NYC from Philly, before 12 noon was $40; after 12 noon was $110. This was for a same day purchase on a Sunday. 3. The further in advance you purchase the ticket, the cheaper it is. That is true at all times, but for holiday travel, the cost differences are significant! Happy travels!

You can definitely get MegaBus right across the street from the main entrance. I have not seen the Phlash bus there, however.
Elevators are available
Yes. Sorry I can not speak German well. Amtrak has lockers that you can rent per day. To store your bags at 30th Street Station, it'll cost you; Amtrak offers loose for $ 10 / bag for 24 hours.
If you do it early not mu
Yes you can, and no the price is the same online and in person.
Yes you can get to Boston MA via many different Amtrak trains from 30th st. Not sure about connectivity to the airport.
You can take Amtrak from $60 all the way to $150 for Acela. There's also septa to Trenton where you cross the platform to pick up NJT. The whole trip shouldn't be more than $20. If you're on a really tight budget check out the bolt bus that leaves right out from in front of 30th station.
for rates to Wilmington call an agent at 30th street station or look online ...to go to Washington dc U would pay $53.00-$57.00 one-way their rates change constantly
On SEPTA Regional Rail, the answer is yes with one exception: In the evening rush hour you must purchase the ticket before boarding because tickets will be checked at the gate during those high volume hours. If you are taking Amtrak, you must alwsys have a ticket prior. For New Jersey Transit's Atlantic City Line I'm actually not sure.
At rear parking lot where old electric plant used to be
Yes it does
Amtrak most likely goes if not directly there than close to it.
Amtrak goes there. It's pricier than NJT with SEPTA connections. Not sure of the distance between Civic Center Drive and 30th St.
No. That I could say
Yes.unsure of the time
Yes. You can get anywhere in center City to here in 15 minutes or less. There are a few right down the road, but they're likely not cheap. Expand your radius a bit and just hop on the subway. Will make life much easier for you
McDonald's is inside the station, there's no way you can miss it.
Philadelphia. West
No
Call who you want to travel with ie SEPTA or PATCO and ask. Or you can input the location and destination in Google Maps. It'll give you an idea of cost.
SEPTA Regional Rail, just about all of the lines stop very close by. You can also hop in a taxi which is relatively inexpensive.
You would have to call to check availability for one then work from there.
PATCO or the 117 & 404 buses.
Yes you can... this is a 24/7 operation where you have access to ticket vending machines if the agent's window is closed.
I believe pickup at 30th street
There's a Mega Bus attendant outside...you can purchase your tickets prior to boarding.
Yes. Ask an Amtrak associate for directions.
Yes. The two options are Septa R7 to Trenton, then pick up NJT to NY Penn Station or Amtrak to NY Penn Station. The latter is more costly.
You can transport larger luggage but you won't have access to it. Amtrak.com for more info.
Yes, I believe so. Check the Amtrak website.
Yes there is waiting parking around the perimeter of the building
Google map it
Never had to do that. But there is an Amtrak Office that can help I'm sure. There is never a line there.
No security check, only the dogs sniffing randomly throughout the station. Because this is your first time at this station, plan to arrive about 45 minutes early so you can find your way to the proper track and avoid running your head off with luggage. Make it a smooth trip.
Yes there are they do charge a fee though I can't remember what it is
It's a drive up out front. Just communicate with them when you're close.
You can take the SEPTA R7 to Trenton and connect with NJT to Penn Station, Newark NJ
Luggage storage is the customer service area. Not in the main area its glass enclosed area. I forget the price
Halfway up the stretch of JFK Blvd that runs perpendicular to 30th street on the westhand side of the big bridge that runs overhead. Approximately 750 ft. West of 30th St Station.
You want to call or check their website their may be a stop where you have tp switch trains
It depends on where you are boarding from.
Septa. Visit their website to find out which bus or rail to take. Septa.orgthere is a Septa station in 30th street
Check Google maps
Yes they do, you must check your luggage at least 45 minutes before your train leaves. But you can carry on two bags each ticket. Carry-On Allowances 2 Personal Items: 25 lbs. — 14 x 11 x 7 each 2 Carry-On Bags: 50 lbs. — 28 x 22 x 14 each Pacific Surfliner — 28 x 22 x 11
none they go to penn
No, it would be about two hours to NYC and then a differrent train to Toronto that would take about 17 hours.
Yes, it's located near the east side entrance to the station next to the ticket counters. The lockers are not self-service, but attendants are available at the window. You must show them your Amtrak ticket.
On the west end of the train station near the SEPTA Regional Rail Station
Not sure. Check their website. But there's tons of uber and taxi availability. It's a really nice station, good amenities. They have super helpful info desk that's right in main hall.
Less than a mile to Phila Museum of Art from 30th Street. However, the other museums are closer to Suburban Station - about a half a mile. Check Google maps for the Ben Franklin Parkway (museum row).
Yes, but again, you have to have a Amtrak train ticket.
You can get them by calling Amtrak or going on the website.
Yes, but the lockers at the train stations are for the Amtrak customers. You have to show the Amtrak ticket to an attendant on duty.
There are soft pretzels, subs, Wendy's salads, smoothies, I'm pretty sure there's still a sit down eatery. Pretty much something for everyone
There are plenty of restaurants in and around the train station. One of my favorite in recent days is Walnut Street Cafe located on the ground floor of FMC Tower. It's about two short blocks from the station.
You can carry a lot of luggage and I dont know if there is even a restriction. There is also a baggage storage in the station (if you have your ticlet already)
Amtrak Fares dependent on time/date of travel. Amtrak will take you to Penn Station New York, from there you take an Uber or take the subway/shuttle bus.
There is an indoor gargae just across the street on the north side of the station
Actually, you can take SEPTA then transfer to NJ Transit to Penn Station. That's looks like subway, no check-in, free seats and so on.
Why would road to the train station close. All the public roads are open 24 hours. At 5am, you'll have no trouble getting to the station.
If you can park around temple station and ride into the city on regional rail. Its free and safe. Temple police and philly police patrol all the time.
Yes, but you must have Amtrak tickets to access the lockers
Take the septa airport line, then take NJ TRANSIT Atlantic city line from 30th st. Station
Yes, but you have to be hawkish
It would be a logistical nightmare for SEPTA to deal with Amtrak trains going through those stations you mentioned.
If you are travelling on on AMTRAK yes (they asked to see my tucket) it cost me $10 for 24h. I am not sure if only for amtrak passengers, or to make it cheaper.
It's about 13-15 blocks to walk to the bus station, or you can take the El (Blue Line) and get off at 8th street station and walk about a block towrds north to get to the bus station. Or, if you are taking the SEPTA Regional Rail, get off at jefferson station and walk to the bus station. There are two bus service near the train station on the west side of the train station on John F. Kennedy Blvd. Please look up Bolt Bus or Mega Bus to see their destinations they service
Catch the chestnut hill regional rail train. This train stops at suburban station.
No not a shuttle but the regional rail train goes straight to the airport. Buy your ticket before you board the train because more expensive if you dont
The blue line.....better known as the El
The main taxi stand is located on the east side of the station (walk towards the angel statue). Also, Uber pickup zone is available on the west side of the train station (away from the angel statue).
You should be there around 5.30. About 10-15 minutes walk till platform entrance/staircase as earlier the better rather than rushing. There's signboard deflecting departure time. Staff wil take care of him. Don't worry.
Using public transportation, you could catch the 9 bus or the 44 bus. The 9 bus would be closest without walking much. It would be the bus towards 4th and Walnut.
I suggest u google parking lot near 30th St 🚆 Station & go from there u can bet it's safe to park there 24/7 cop always closely monitor that area 💯%
Yes, must prove that you are taking Amtrak trains. The luggage storage service is located next to the Amtrak ticket counter
There have not been any trains to Spring City in a long time. Since the Reading Railroad's commuter operations were subsumed into SEPTA.
There are several lots and meter parking available around the station all with typical city parking rates. You can usually get a metered space within 2 blocks with some time investment.
