At the gate they asked me to pull my car over while they got the reservation. After 20 min. of waiting I called the front desk from my car and was told the reservation had not gone through on there end and to wait in my car. After 30 min I called hotels tonight and they called the front desk. After 50 min it was determined they did not have the room i booked (according to hotel tonight). I call the front desk again and I asked if I can have any room (it is know 11:30 at night). They had a 2 bed room. When I asked for the rate they said they do not do single night bookings. It took one hour total to be told my reservation (which was paid for through hotel tonight) was unavailable and that they had a room available but would not give it to me unless I booked two nights. When I told the front desk that they should fix this by giving me the room for one night I was told, “sir have a nice night” and hung up on. I had drive another hour to marathon to get a hotel.

I am giving 2 star only for the reason that the manager was nice enough to cancel my check in upon arrival. The check in building is two stories. There are no signs on the property directing you where to go and we had to keep stopping and asking people where to check in. The facility is very spaced apart meaning the pool and the beach (I initially booked this particular place because on their website the pool and beach looked phenomenal) I came to learn that this place has private owners for each room. Kinda Airbnb vibes which is fine for some. But for the price ? It could be so much better. The beach was covered in seaweed and had a very bad sea sewage smell. To even enter the place, you have to deal with the security guards. The male guard was somewhat nice but the lady with the nose piercing, purple nails, and a gross bandage wrapping on her hand? Please find a new position that doesn’t entail speaking to new guests. Very unwelcoming, I felt like a bother just to drive in. If the initial welcoming energy isn’t there, it pretty much paints the picture for your stay. I can tell the front desk girl as well is not a fan of her job. Hospitality folks. It’s part of your business. From reading the other reviews, I’m glad I didn’t stay and go to the rooms. I was also told that the rooms you see online booking, will not be the rooms you get since all the rooms are owned privately. What? Is this even legal? Hard pass. On to the Hilton where I should’ve booked from the beginning.

Yes
Good question.. I know the authorities are working hard to fix up the area as safely and quickly as possible.. I would suggest to call the authorities and/or marina managers and ask them when the area will be back to normal.
Yes we’ve been fully restored for almost a year now. The destination also is fully restored. We look forward to having you soon!
The Florida keys have been working hard to fixing up the area for tourists and residents .. come on down with everyone and enjoy your week..
Greetings! Not on property but we recommend Ciao Bella in Islamorada. The best in the area for services as such. Thanks.
Securitas is the company's name. 👍
Most units upgraded there is stell work going on
The hotel is centrally located to all Key Largo and Islamorada attractions. Snorkeling/Diving charters and fishing charters are within minutes of the resort. Make sure to check out John Pennekamp Coral Reef State and Dolphins Plus (swim with dolphins). Nearby also is Theatre of the Sea and Robbie's Marina. Eco tours available just minutes from the resort!
Very doubtful, a lot of damaged units, most tree are down, gazebo and beach are gone, restaurants in the area greatly damaged, it would take some time to restore it.
You can contact the resort directly at 305-853-3000 for your next visit. We look forward to hosting you again!
Please contact the resort directly for more details - 305-853-3000, option 0. Thanks!

Yes there was one, unfortunately it was out of order. There might be another one we did not see.
Greetings from Ocean Pointe. There is not one on property, however there is one about 1 mile away at Mariner's Hospital parking. Thanks!
Thank you for reaching out to us. If such were to occur you can start by speaking with the front desk in the lobby.
I believe so. But i was invited through family that was staying there so I don't know the fee or specifics of boat and trailer parking. So sorry
You must be 21 and up (with id and major cc) to check-in. Thanks, Ocean Pointe Suites 305-853-3000
Hello there! Yes our pool bar is open 11:00am-6pm. Thanks!
Both bars are great! We kept the pool bar open late one night and the bartender was very accommodating!
Weather is pretty good all the time. You can fly in to Miami international airport or Fort Lauderdale airport, both are fairly close with Miami being closer. It is best to not drive in rush hour. Friday afternoons are especially bad coming in to the keys. Renting a car is necessary if going to key west or big distances
The resort offers great amenities: a private sandy beach, Jr.Olympic size pool with Jacuzzi, tennis courts, bbq areas, nature trails, 2 bars, a waterfront restaurant, marina, boardwalk with fishing areas. Everything you are looking for in a Florida Keys vacation!
That i don't know but if so you and you family will have a 🚀😁
There rental kayaks and rental boats for a day as well as boat fishing tours
Hello William! The resort is back open and fantastic. All amenities open including the marina. We look forward to having you and yours. Thanks, Ocean Pointe Suites Management
Yes. Cleaned up, new sand, new beach chairs, new board walk and gazebo.
I don't really know how the area is looking, I know thru news reports that the keys are working hard to make sure all tourists enjoy themselves
One open story and three floors of condos, with an elevator in the middle of each building, 4th floor is the top numbered floor.
