I live in Monterey Bay where there are tons of French restaurants near Carmel, still I make an effort to drive 2-1/2 hours to dine at the Madeline's when I can. The chef uses a generous amount of wine to prep the dishes, I have had the Diver's Scallops, the Stuffed Quail, the Beet Salad, the Mushroom Tartine with butter squash soup which is heavenly. The soup is fresh and rich but not thick which I really like. Everything is fresh, well-prepared, and tastes so good. The service is professional and generous as they always bring me a couple of different wines to taste which one I like. The prices are very reasonable compared to Monterey and Carmel. It's worth a drive to have a feast here!

Great restaurant: good food, atmosphere, and value. We had a group of 11 and everybody enjoyed the dining experience.
