I don't know how anyone could rate this koa any lower than 5 stars. It's a beautiful koa with so much to do. The wifi was awesome. They have boat, kayak and fishing rod rentals. They even have a little beach. I've never been to a koa that had a cafe and pub. We got breakfast most mornings and had drinks by the pool. Our dogs enjoyed the dog park as well. It wasn't crowded at all so it was quiet and relaxing.

I always enjoy going to KOA Sugarloaf, the employees are nice and helpful. The new facilities are first class, Gas, Bait, Tackle, Ice, Food and much more.

Absolutely Beautiful being rebuilt after Irma. Bartenders Tina, Cheryl & Kimberly are Great.

Cudjoe Key just to the east took a direct hit, probably not good on Sugarloaf Key. Just saw a before and after aerial photo of the campground, looks destroyed. Multiple buildings have extensive damage including the store/check-in and bar area. I hope everyone is ok and they can rebuild.
The park is not open now but yes reservations are always smart
Yes, the sites are actually set up really nice. Picnic table, fire pit and gorgeous landscape for each site.
No it is not
We are currently closed while we continue to rebuild our campground. We are hoping to open sometime towards the end of the year.
No they are still rebuilding as of Jan 2019. Talking to the crew on site last week, they are not expecting to open until fall 2019.
You can rent a RV ( was pricey too me or a cabin. (Didnt get prices for thislast year). Don't recommend tent camping too many mosquitoes plus do check with them due to the hurricane last year.
I would call KOA corporate headquarters for that information thank you
In the interior of the camp ground there are pull through spots.
We spent Christmas this year on #1015 which had a kayak launch. We paid $180.00 per night.
Yes they have an area for tents and are building a hotel on the property.
It's a KOA so I don't think so. Might be worth a call to double check
Yes. They are concrete and next to a canal and across from the laundry and bathrooms. Very well done!
Yes! We had our two cats and saw many traveling with dogs. There is a small dog park.
They're still under construction so they're not open. Not sure how much tent sites are.
Yes you can... Your even allowed tents on rv sites with water and electric if available... Prices and fees are posted on their website BPKFL.COM 53 for tentsite and 79-86 for rv sites...
Aerial photography shows extensive damage to campground and buildings. Doesn't sound or look like they will be open for awhile.
