Stayed two nights in Cosby Campground. It’s very wooded and nice. No power of water at the sites. Each site has a picnic table and metal fire ring. Downside is a lot of the sites are small and close together. We stayed in site A21 and our neighbor was very close and at a slightly higher elevation so we felt very lacking in privacy. At night you can hear a lot of other people moving about in the campground but it quieted down by 9pm. Most of the tent sites have parking on the paved road and you walk a few feet down to your site. Having all the cars parked along the road made it feel packed and tight on a Friday night. We were close to the bath house- it was lit at night and had toilets and a sink with running water. There are several hiking trails that leave from the campground but the campground is located on the edge of the park, pretty far away from most of the central attractions. There is no fee to enter the park- we checked in after hours without talking to anyone and it was easy. Not my favorite campground but far from the worst.

the camp hosts and Amanda are very friendly and helpful, like family I would highly recommend this campsite if people understand how to respect mother earth

Beautiful national park camp with hikes right from the campground. Most of the sites are level and while there isn't much vegetation between sites, they are spread out pretty well.

They can be but it's gonna be a tight fit. Lots of sites so you can book 2 adjacent sites.
There's a trail from the campground (unsure of the name) but it was 7 miles to AT
It is closed for the winter. Their are some nice backcountry sites in the area. It's usually 17 a night for cosby campground. Backcountry sites are $4 a person

All the sites are a 5min walk to the creek. But there is a very small stream next to A20!

There is small creeks everywhere but farther up I think they have trout places to fish at.
No phone service or Wi-Fi available. If there is an emergency they have caretakers on premises to help. I believe they have emergency phone available. It's a wonderful place to get away from all contact.

Yes you can if you got your site reserved. If you don't have a site resved make sure you look on the bulletin board to check to see if there's a reserve card on the lot # listed. When you get there you can see a building on left before you enter campground that has all the info you need. Camp host is on the right side of campground when you pull in.
I was able to reserve a site at Cosby online for the 19 -22 nd and it showed other spots had been reserved as well, where does it say it’s not open until May?
You are correct. Dogs must be accompanied at all times in the campground and are not allowed on the trails.
No. It is a very nice and quiet campground, but i wish it had showers.
