Took our 1 year old German shepherd pup for his normal checkup and vaccines and they found and removed a tick on his neck that he probably picked up on a recent camping trip. The staff was exceptional—very personal and professional and our dog was unusually chill with them! He’s normally a total spaz with strangers. LOVE this clinic and the staff! Thank you!! (Pic just because our shepherd was being cute.)

STAY WAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!! This was my old Veterinarian. They are not helpful. They totally lost my business. I can personally go to the pharmacy and get a flu shot no appointment needed but I took my dog to get a simple, quick, rabbis shot (no exam or anything needed only a shot that I could give my dog if I could buy rabbis shots) the said no I needed an appointment. I explained that I was headed to Canada in the morning with my service dog and that they were going to lose my business if they wouldn’t help me. The said they didn’t care. Appoint only. There was no other animals even in the lobby. Maybe they don’t even have a regular vet or tech there. Not the kind of Vets I grew up using. They must over charge to be turning away east business. Where are the good ole’ vets that cared about animals and customers over money and professional appearances. In fairness to them the very next VET in AF that I call from UVH parking lot also would not give my dog the shot with out an appointment but unlike UVH this VET kindly told me how I could solve my dilemma. They informed me that the Humane Society of Utah in Murray gives walk-in vaccine shots daily. This VET that showed great customer service by helping me solve my problem will now have my future business not a UVH who said they didn’t care if they lost my business even if I was a past customer. Maybe I am being unreasonable but any Vet office that refuses a request as simple as this and doesn’t even try to offer other solutions can’t be a place I want to do business with anymore. ZERO customer service. This is America and Americans require good customer service or they take they business elsewhere. I should have realized who they really are by the sign on their door. see photo. STOP!!! Really. Wow.

They always take such great care of my cat, Bijou. The entire staff is caring and I can tell they love my cat. Dr. Sam is always professional and trustworthy.

They lied ineptly about why my pet came out of a simple procedure bleeding, charged double the maximum estimate they gave, and overall violated standards of safety, competence, and professionalism more in a short visit than I’ve seen in years at other vets. I will not be going back. Edit: if I used my real name you guys would threaten legal action as you do with everyone who leaves negative reviews, so no thank you :)

How expensive is tooth extraction?

Elijah Walker | Nov 3, 2018
Utah Veterinary Hospital | Nov 3, 2018

It simply depends on how difficult and how long it takes to extract it. Each extraction costs between $5 and $125 per tooth, plus the cost of anesthesia, dental prophylaxis and possible antibiotics. Our best recommendation is to have an examination, get a more accurate estimate, and schedule the extraction within 1 week to save you from having to pay a second exam
