What a beautiful mass I enjoyed while visiting Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church located in West Jordan, Utah. I was drawn to Eucharistic Adoration when I saw “Our Ladies Chapel” in the courtyard of the church. Upon entry into Our Ladies Chapel I was moved to tears. The simplicity, the beauty, the holiness was palpable. Eucharistic Adoration prior to mass was good for the soul. The homily delivered by Father Virgen was moving and special on this, the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. We were challenged to put ourselves in the place of Mary as she stood at the cross of her son being crucified after the prophecy of Simeon in the temple. The church, built in a circle from concrete could seat quite a crowd. The statuaries and beauty of the campus was spiritually moving. I very much felt welcomed and appreciated the faithful and faith filled congregants at morning mass. An involved parishioner by the name of Patricia even approached me as she recognized me as a new face. This is a fine example of being truly universal, truly Catholic.

Mass is held in English on Saturday 5:00, and Sunday 9:00 and 11:30. St. Joes is a great church and a great community I highly suggest coming

Anyone is welcome in our community! We have Spanish mass at 7 on Saturday nights. English masses are 5 on Saturday nights and 9 and 11:30 on Sundays. Masses are held on weekdays at 9 in the day chapel. We will also soon have masses on Wednesday nights, check the website for more details.
