Saw on IG about a promo they were running for a half sleeve for $600. Made appointments for two people to be tattooed the Inked Out convention. Appointments were made mid-August. Told that we’d hear from them in a week or so with the sketch and to pick up tickets. We reached out 3 weeks later and they told us that they’d reach out the next day with the sketch and when to get the tickets. Didn’t hear from them. We reach out again and they then tell us that the artist got into an accident and can’t tattoo for 2 weeks (yet the injuries require much longer healing time). Said they were upset to cancel the convention. We saw on IG that the artist is actually at a different shop and saw this shop was still at the convention. Not sure why they couldn’t reach out between the 3 weeks of making the appointment to us reaching out to them. Then giving a story instead of just explaining they’d give us a different artist. Very unprofessional. At least they were willing to refund our deposit in full.
