Cool city. Tons of graffiti. Too bad. Seems like it would be a really pretty place if people cared about their property.

While there are no restrictions on travel to Seattle and Washington State, the US-Canada border remains closed to unessential travelers. The March 2020 joint agreement to close the border has been extended several times over the past 15 months. The current extension is due to expire on June 21, 2021 but it is unclear how the status will change past that date. SEA Airport has outlined some COVID-19 testing options including XpressCheck at the airport, testing kits, and links to testing sites around Seattle & King County. You can find them here: https://www.portseattle.org/page/travel-and-covid-19-testing.
Hi David. We are hopeful the US-Canada border will be open by then as well! Seattle anticipates a full reopening on June 30, in accordance with Washington State guidance. Until then, we remain in Phase 3 of our reopening, which requires indoor capacity limited to 50%. That said, many restaurants, shops, museums, and attractions have opened their doors and are actively welcoming people back. You can find further details at http://visitseattle.org/travel-advisory.
Hi Mick! Both the Bellevue and Issaquah RV parks are close to the city and accessible to public transportation. Here are a couple additional resources for you: https://seat.tl/Campgrounds
Hi John! There is no pass required to enter Seattle Center - the grounds are open to the public. There are, however, several ticketed venues on the Seattle Center campus: Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, MoPOP, Pacific Science Center and the theaters to name a few. You can see ticketing information on their individual websites. Alternatively, you could consider purchasing a Seattle CityPASS, which includes access to several of these attractions: https://www.citypass.com/seattle?mv_source=visitseattle.
Hi Gary, Our two Visitor Centers are open and operating on our normal schedule. You can view our hours and locations at https://www.visitseattle.org/visitor-information/visitors-center. If you ever have any questions about whether or not we are observing our regular hours (for instance, over a holiday or during inclement weather), please feel free to call us directly at 866.732.2695. Thanks!
Hi Huey. If you were to book a time slot for the Space Needle and miss that time, you will then join the queue with everyone else who did not book in advance. One thing to consider is waiting until you are in Seattle to book a time slot -- there are typically times available even day of! And yes, the Space Needle just underwent a multi-million dollar renovation. Construction has been completed and the result is stunning! You can learn more about the updates at http://www.spaceneedle.com/experience/.
Half of the adventure is in the journey, right? Taking a bus from San Francisco to Seattle might save you a few dollars and shave a couple hours off your total travel time, but the train will likely be a more comfortable and scenic experience. Amtrak's Coast Starlight is a straight shot. https://www.amtrak.com/coast-starlight-train
