Deserves more than 5 stars! Best home cooking around, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Only open Friday & Saturday's from 430 - 8pm, so make a reservation. Comfort food & seafood AND yummy homemade desserts. A great find!

Went with friends on a Saturday afternoon. We chose the earliest seating, at 4:30 and I'm glad we did. The place was packed!. We ordered the flounder, shrimp, steak and hamburger steak. Our sides were mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, green beans and corn pudding. We enjoyed everything although one of my companions felt the fish was too bland. The rolls served before the meal were just wonderful. I could've ordered a whole plateful of them. My steak was tender and cooked to my liking. I had it "loaded" but would probably not do that in the future. I like some sauteed mushrooms on my steak but this one was completely buried under mushrooms and onions. For dessert we ordered chocolate pie, lemon meringue pie and an apple dumpling. The lemon filling was heavy and dense and not very lemony. The other desserts were good. We will go back and next time we'll try the fried chicken which gets high marks and looked fabulous. Friendly service and very interesting, homey atmosphere.
