This is a big cemetery with lots of history around every corner. Names like Porter Rockwell & many leadership members of the LDS faith are laid to rest here. Everyone is respectful & one employee pointed me toward Ol’ Port’s grave without a hesitation. It’s got a view & my pioneer relatives from Iowa are buried here.

^^^ she's right. They dont patrol so you should be good to do it
It's open on the west side of the cemetery. But it's mainly closed all the time up in the north side. I work in the cemetery removing the fallen trees.
While visiting some cemeteries you may notice that headstones marking certain graves have coins on them, left by previous visitors to the grave. These coins have distinct meanings when left on the headstones of those who gave their life while serving in America's military, and these meanings vary depending on the denomination of coin. A coin left on a headstone or at the grave site is meant as a message to the deceased soldier's family that someone else has visited the grave to pay respect. Leaving a penny at the grave means simply that you visited. A nickel indicates that you and the deceased trained at boot camp together, while a dime means you served with him in some capacity. By leaving a quarter at the grave, you are telling the family that you were with the soldier when he was killed. More at https://www.wadenapj.com/opinion/3681028-what-do-coins-gravestones-mean
If you go to the state database of burials, you can search there by name. Not sure if this is who you are looking for, but there is a Brooke Hopkins buried at N_17_4_1W. The map with these plat coordinates can be found on the front page of the cemetery's website at https://www.slc.gov/parks/city-cemetery
11 + 1 = 12 Out of 16 since 2015 when the Article was written. https://www.templesquare.com/blog/salt-lake-cemetery-gravesites-of-the-prophets/ :) Thanks You. Great to know Prophet, Lorenzo Snow's body is of the same location his Eternal Family, Ela Jensen's is also. She is burried in Brigham City 50 year after he brought her back from death in the record. Looking for Ela isn't the answer, knowing how to research family will lead you to the children she had after she died.
No, Ogden has a pet cemetery.
Where are your plots located? I might be interested.
The cemetery is open until dark
I would ask the employees in the main office. They're only there during regular business hours but very helpful
The cemetery office has complete records or you can go to www.namesinstone.com
Namesinstone.com has a list of burials in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Otherwise they have an on-site office open from 8:30-4:30 Monday thru Friday
U can look that up online there is a map of cemetery

The Staff will be more than happy to help. Call them during regular business hours and ask for the plot plan or specs on the location of interest on their grounds.
