Ordered a product to be picked up same day. 5 days later I still had not heard that it was ready. Spoke to two people (one of which was a manager) who let me know the next shipment would be coming in in 4 days and they could fill my order then. That’s unfortunate, but inventories are off sometimes, it’s whatever. 6 days later still no update, so I call again and they have zero info for me and give me an 800 number to call. So I call and after a 12 minute hold (which she said would be 3-5 mins) they don’t have any update for me, they can’t even tell me when the item will ship out to them….. so I’m now 10 days into this ordeal of just wasted time with no idea of when I’ll be getting the item. For my troubles they were willing to give me a 10% discount on a FUTURE order…. What?! I did end up cancelling. Which was another 5 minutes on hold. She let me know that the order would possibly take up to 24 hours to cancel then 3-5 business days to appear back on my card. This is a great example of why Amazon will continue to win my business.

This was the single worst retail experience of my adult life (I'm 57, so there has been LOTS of it!) The employees at the Gun Counter, Ralph and David, were very kind and polite. Their boss, on the other hand, cost the company this particular sale and all future purchases I would have made there. It was in his pervue to come down to the counter and resolve HIS administrative error, but he chose to lie to me instead. He said he would "be down in ten minutes." I smelled a rat and waited for nearly half an hour. He never showed up. I decided to not accept the purchase and cancel the sale, since the gun in question never did get transferred to me. He could have prevented that by showing up at the gun counter and not lying about it, but he made a different decision. A costly decision. Corporate is going to get a copy of this missive, and that individual should know it's far better to resign than to be terminated. It's better still to do your job than than it is to do either of those things at all. Based on his demonstrated decision-making skills, "better" doesn't mean anything to him. I would seriously recommend you make your gun purchases somewhere else. Your time is far too valuable to waste here with that sort of incompetent management. Silverdale Sportsman's Warehouse competition, however, owes that manager a fat commission for sending business their way.

I've never really had a bad experience at sportsman's outside of the egregious wait times for the gun counter. Staff has always been friendly typically pretty helpful but my god do they need some help it's not their fault but it can't be ignored. I've lived in Washington State for about 3 months now I've made multiple gun purchases at this location and have used the gunsmithing a few times as well. Once you're actually being seen it's a pleasant experience every time I've come in I've had maybe two or three people in front of me in line but had to wait close to an hour. The fastest I was ever in and out was just to have an optic mounted and it was around 37 minutes. The longest was picking up a firearm I already purchased and that took me an hour and 27 minutes. I highly encourage stopping into this location I just recommend you set aside a large portion of your day.

This is a grown man's candy shop, I JUST LOVE IT. So much here and so much information. You would think each employee had a four year degree in outdoors. The fishing department is stocked with everything you could possibly want to include fresh worms. Second amendment right are here for you. You don't need to ever go away from your home and you can get thousands of things for the backyard. If you want to just look like a woodsman the clothes are here for you. If you need a cast iron pan don't go anywhere else, coolers are only the best and at the best price. Again love this place.
