About half the rides we're not being operated I think because of no staff. Our grandchildren were disappointed when the rides they wanted weren't available. Maybe the kids operating the rides could have switched to others occasionally. We had purchased a lot of tickets, at least they don't expire. After a while we went to the other amusement park.

We took our two kids (6 and 7 years old) to go on the rides for the wristband special. More than half the rides were shutdown for the whole 3 hour time frame. We understand everyone is short staffed so we did not complain or act rude to the staff. However the rides that were closed were the ones that were appropriate for their age range which stunk for them. There were lots of children 10-12 year age range running around without supervision cursing, pulling each around, pulling each other's pants down, just poor behavior all around. Again, not the fault of the staff, they were wonderful, just the experience we had. Great for an afternoon adventure.

Yes. At Easter will be 1/2 off. Couple weeks prior. You can sign up with ur email and get the alerts.
They range from 3 to 6 tickets depending on the ride... Such as little kids rides are 3 but roller coaster 6. They have done special days where all rides are 3 tickets... Usually a weekday.

Once the summer ends, they have limited weekend hours, then close completely until the spring. I have also noticed their website is slow to reflect their hours.
They are not open from 1:00 to 11:00 like their website and voice recording say! I'm here currently and they are not open during the week at all! If I had known that I went to planned to come to Ocean City during the week time. They don't update their website and information of via the phone! Playland castaway cove is only open for restricted hours and they actually update their website
If it is raining, they might close some rides but they will remain open in hopes the weather will change.
There are many options, all located after the entrance, past part with Carousel. Practically whole back half.

There is another pier called Castaway Cove but you can only use Gillian's tickets for Gillian's pier.

No there website is incorrect! They are not open from 1-11 like the website and voice recording states! My son loves Gillian's wonderland the first time we visited Ocean City so when I plan to come this year in September I checked their hours thinking they'd be open every day and they're not! I was there yesterday and they're not open I called and it still says that they should be open every day from 1:00 to 11:00 so they do not update their website or their voice recordings! When asking they said that playland's castaway cove is open certain restricted hours and days! I wish that they actually updated their information because I plan my vacation around this thinking the rides would be open every day!

Is the child's train that goes around the entire inside up high still there?
Some are, some close but the whole boardwalk doesn't completely close down. Some places have more than one location on each end of the boardwalk and they will leave one of those locations open and close the other.
The rides are open on weekends only but the shops are open now.
