Absolutely beautiful here! I often go by myself and just admire how beautiful the landscape/gardens and Delaware river are. The mansion is literally breath taking you can easily find yourself wondering what it must have been like to pull up there on a horse and buggy in the 1800s. The neighbors are also very nosey and positivly standoffish. This place is worth 6 stars but i had to give it 4 because of how uncomfortable the neighbors make you feel. They even called the police on me jus because they never seen me before... It is a public place i dont know what they expect.

Food for wedding reception was not up to my expectations. Salmon was quite fishy (bringing into question the freshness). The beef entree was OK. A bit tough/overdone. Wait staff was unexceptional. Building is a bit broken up for hosting event though tent area was nicely appointed.

If you have not gone there yet, its worth visiting. They have a large estate grounds to walk around outdoors, along with the option to take a tour of the inside of the mansion (for a fee), along with that there are many other free events that they offer to the public. I haven't walked the whole grounds-permanent injuries prevent me from doing so. However, from what I have seen it is wonderfully beautiful. And there is a parking lot arwa on the estate grounds, but it is a grass lot.
Yeah for the most part cocktails were outside and reception in large tent. U can have it inside the mansion if u want. My daughter had her wedding outside. Very nice. Just believe it was over priced.
