I've never been to this nursery before and I went there to purchase plants for the office yesterday. However, my knowledge on plants are so minimal I was very lost. My colleague called in beforehand to see if we can get some plants set aside so I won't be lost. Let me just say, Kayla was just beyond awesome. She helped me picking out plants, and also introduced us to new plants that we didn't know would be great! She was very patient with me, especially I had to call in my colleagues via video calls. Kayla was just simply awesome and I cannot thank her enough. If you're buying plants and need some help selecting (especially if you are a plants noobie like myself), go find Kayla!

I don’t know of any nursery that has more of everything one could want and, while the prices tend to be somewhat higher than elsewhere, the staff is terrific. Very personable and knowledgeable (and if not about your particular question, they’ll find the staffer who is). On our visit a couple of days ago looking at the selection of roses, my wife and I were treated to the expertise and enthusiasm of Jeff. He answered every question, gave us recommendations, and was a pleasure to be with.

I always love this nursery. It is a bit on the pricier side, but their plants and staff are wonderful. Especially today when my whole family is sick and we did not want to come into the store to pick up some supplies. I ordered curbside pickup for the first time and Gina and Terry were very helpful and answering all of our questions and getting our order processed the way we wanted it. We really appreciate sky nursery being our neighborhood nursery.

This negative review is not for the nursery itself, but rather for the rude cashier we encountered and the unhelpful store manager. The nursery is very well maintained and products are of high quality. As first time customers, we were quite happy to find such a nice nursery close to where we live. However, the happy story ended when we checked out. We had been waiting in line patiently for our turn. Finally, a cashier finished with her customer and I saw her waving her hand, so we moved forward to the register. Instead of saying hi to us, the first words she said were "Were you waiting in the center line before you came up?". We were quite shocked by the question and didn't know what to think. So we just said yes we had been waiting and we were the first in line. While she was scanning our stuff, we started to grasp what she was accusing us of and I asked if it's a common practice for her to ask that question to all customers. She gave some lame excuses that made us even more upset. We asked to talk with her manager, a lady named Brady. After waiting five minutes or so, Brady showed up. We asked her the same question: if it's a common practice for her store's cashiers to ask all customer such a question or we are the only ones being singled out for such a question. She acknowledged this is a common practice. However, while we were waiting for her, there had been at least 5 customers checking out and none was asked the question. When challenged with that observation, she started looking uneasy, and said we were cutting what she wanted to say. We felt we had been wasting enough of our time on this unhappy encounter and said we are not interested in hearing any more excuses and will just leave a review. Well, this is a very accurate recount of our experience at this nursery and our review as promised. I don't think we will ever set our feet in this nursery risking being harassed again.

I would think they would, I would call the nursery to find out. Hopefully they are answering their phone! (not just a recording) or they should have an email address.
Yes indeed. The Indoor Gardening department features a large assortment of foliage plants for low light, medium light, and high light locations. They also carry specialty plants including orchids, bonsai, succulents, and carnivorous plants.
Yes! They have a pretty good selection but they're a bit pricier than some other places. All of them are high quality though.
We have a good selection of hardy hibiscus in now. We do not give away used plastic containers.
We do deliver bark, soil, compost and gravel. At the moment we are out of dark mulch (formerly known as "dark bark") and unsure when it will be back in stock. We have a page with photos of all of our bulk (by the yard) material and can usually deliver the next day. No deliveries on Sunday and Monday.
Yes they do.
We are open 9am - 5pm daily for in store shopping. You can also place an order over the phone for pick up or delivery. At this time we do not have online ordering. Thanks for the question. Stay safe.
They do, but not sure what size/ variety they have in stock. I'd give them a call and ask. They're very nice!
Unfortunately, soft plastics are not recyclable in most curbside bins. Customers often re-use these bags for garden projects or trash bags.
We do not carry the Curry Tree. It is not something we have gotten in the past. We do get requests for it, so it may be something available from the growers in the future depending on how well it grows indoor.
Great choice! We do have that one available right now in 1 gallon pots for $16.99, 2 gallon pots for $34.99, and 5 gallon pots for $54.99! These are the prices before our 30% off rhody sale, which will end after Sunday the 8th. If you'd like a quick check on availability in the future, feel free to give us a call. :)
We do have ladybugs in throughout the spring season. Give us a call at 206-546-4851.
Hi there! Yes we will be stocking fruit salad trees this year, and we're approximately a week out from having them potted up and available. They're around $90 each.
We do have white lavender in stock now. White French Lavender, Lavandula intermedia alba in 1 gallon pots for $14.99
We do have winter jasmine in stock, along with some other winter blooming shrubs for hummingbirds including: mahonia and sarcococca. Give us a call for more details. 206-546-4851.
Yes they do
We have straw bales available in two sizes! The smaller one is 12.99 and the larger is 16.99.
We do not carry Azalea Maraschino. That is not a variety we get very often. We do carry azaleas that have a similar bloom and growth pattern. Girard's Fuchsia Azalea and Girard's Crimson Azalea. They grow to 2-4 feet tall.
Sky has a good house plant section. Should expect that they have orchids for sure
Thank you for your question! We do carry 14" round hanging basket liners made of coco coir.
We don't carry these supplies. You may have the best luck at a marine supply store. Hardware stores may also carry them.
We do sell varieties that can be used for cooking! Most cooks choose a classic English variety like 'Munstead' or 'Hidcote,' and we routinely carry both of those.
You certainly can! You can even customize the look, amount, and any message you'd like to include. Here's the link: https://skynursery.com/gift-cards/
We do get tulsi in late spring. It will be in our herb section. We do not have any at this time.
We do not have artichokes at this time. Some years our growers have them available in the fall but not this year. They should be in again in late winter or early spring.
At the moment we have a white and pink variety, but we are expecting a delivery soon. The perennial buyer will be in Wednesday. You can call then to find out when they are expected.
Yes, you can bring a plant in for help. You can also bring in photos or email photos for advise.
They have them seasonally. Usually in the spring. They did not have them when I was there 2 weeks ago
We carry a large selection of native plants depending on the season. Give us a call for current inventory.
Lemon verbena will probably arrive in late April or early May. Thanks!
You should give them a call. They're very friendly and will know exactly what they have
I'd give them a call. They're super nice when you do.
We usually carry Whale Fin Plant (Sansevieria). Give us a call for availability.
We do not have any chestnut trees. Because nut trees grow so large we rarely carry them. You could try these nurseries: Raintree Nursery, One Green World or Burnt Ridge.
We do not send arrangements. You might try Stadium Flowers in Edmonds.
We have a referral list with local landscapers on our website. Here is a link: https://skynursery.com/referrals/
You're going to call or visit the store. They will give you the advice you need
I'd suggest calling them. You'll get an answer much quicker. :)
Yes they do.
Yes they do.
They have a great selection of different plants and they also can order them. I would recommend calling them and ask. Also, you can order on Monrovia site and ask to deliver to Sky.
You should ask Sky Nursery directly from there own website.
Hay is usually used as animal food and sold at places like Bothell Feed and Tack or the Snohomish or Monroe Co-Ops. Straw can be used as bedding for animals or as a mulch for garden beds. Straw is also sold at these locations, not at Sky Nursery at this time of year.
Hi Sharon! We'd recommend an organic vegetable fertilizer or all-purpose fertilizer. The application rates will be on the box or bag, so you just need to follow those directions. If you'd like more guidance, we could assist you further over the phone or in person here at Sky. Hopefully this will be a great gardening year for you :-)
There was some available on Thursday, but it is selling well. Please call and ask for current quantities.

Are you looking for small conifer trees or seedlings?
The floral selection changes season to season. You'll have to go onsite to see what is available. Congratulations on your new citizenship.
They have so many staff members, just ask one for help and they'll stay with you until you get what you wanted! They're awesome!
You'll have to call and ask what's in stock. They're very friendly when you call!
We usually do- but we need to find a new supplier. Could you please check back in a couple of weeks? Thanks for asking.
Selection is seasonal and always changing, best to click the web site link and call.
We do not have that variety in stock now.
They have a huge inventory, best to give them a call
They have many choices. Safest bet is to give them a call.
More than likely, that have a huge inventory of different plants. Give them a quick call to ensure they're available
We carry straw only in the fall. I believe you can purchase straw all year at Bothell Feed store in Mill Creek
