Very helpful and if it wasn't for housing I would be completely homeless.

I feel as a voucher holder this county does not protect its tenants against landlords who abuse their authority. My management constantly raises the rent with no regard for anyone's finances, and Section 8 allows them to do so ! The office staff are extremely rude and patronizing they speak as if you are a nuisance to them. The world is enduring enough adversity, please be kind to one another nobody's position is guaranteed their may be a day when you are experiencing hardships and would like someone to speak to you with respect, and treat you with kindness and compassion.

I have been on section 8 for many years. I couldn't live on my own without it. I am on disability and the fact that I have independence and the ability to live on my own without help from family makes me so happy.

Section 8 is not instrumental in Tacoma. There is absolutely no protection for families to find and secure housing! How good is a voucher when it has no value in renting in this market?! People who work and are good people should never have to be HOMELESS with their FAMILY because they are being forced out!! Disgusted!

I sure want to have a reunion with the floor crew. They call me JJ or coffee. And I am still on the coffee crew show at tmes. I love it.
Call Tacoma housing authority. Section 8 housing that's how you get someone there .
No, the wait list is closed. The waitlist has combined public housing and the voucher program into one list. The HOPP vouchers are moving more quickly. When you come toward the top of the list you'll receive a letter in the mail. Just make sure all your info is up to date with THA.
Not sure what the question is. 🤔
THA has a list that they work with. I just called the places with vacancies and asked if they accept THA vouchers.
Idk I have already moved out of my apartment and I haven't heard anything from the office a case manager I've called, I've driven by twice and emailed everyone I could think of and still notta . I'm worried I will fall out of compliance and end up in a tent. I'm asking if anyone has info myself. Good luck to you
I ain't really sure I think its 1 yr because of a waiting list they go by a lottery but try calling them to find out

I wasn't being picky the a the apartment had one window it was dark on would diffently not be in my best interest to take a unit that could contribute to being depressed
You call 911 if it's an immediate risk/concern. Otherwise, contact Child protective services.
