I took my Dad her to Northwestern medicine, and WOW, it was Absolutely Amazing. From when we first walked in the ER, to several days on the 7th floor. From registration, to the ER room, and to the 7th floor, in the 750 area. Everything was Fantastic. All the Nurses, even a traveling nurse who was there only for a few more days, the Dr’s and all the nurses on the 7th floor. Everything was Amazing. From the care, to the time they took to explain everything, it felt as if my Dad was more like Family than a patient. I can’t express enough how impressed I am with everyone I met there. From what or how it was in the past, to now, WOW!!! This is a wonderful group of people or actually Angels. I am simply Amazed. Thank You for this wonderful group of Nurses. I hope and Pray for everyone of this Group. Thank Northwestern Medicine for putting together this Talented team of Wonderful and Caring Nurses. Ps: There omelette’s were delicious also!

My mom was just in for a four day stay due to a stroke. EVERYONE we encountered was absolutely AMAZING! From the ER to the ICU to the 8th floor… she always felt like a priority. There was never a lack of caring or communication. They succeeded in making a traumatic life experience a lot less stressful for her and for her loved ones. Thank you McHenry Hospital! Keep up the excellent work :)

Place is a joke. I think they take bets on how little they can do. Nurse tells me that the color of nasal discharge means nothing. That my kid doesn't need medicine for a cough that lasts over 2 weeks. So now my kids are playing tag with a cold that could have been avoided with some amoxocillin. Place is literally a joke. No wonder they open at 8 am. Do not go here. Just trust me.

1.) My aunt was sent back home after the hospital noting she had fluid in her lungs. No admission. Just told her to follow up with GP. Problem #1 2.) My aunt was admitted last week with a series of issues. While the staff was nice, they were clearly understaffed (I get it, everyone is). I feel it's not safe for them to accept as many patients as they did. She was in critical condition and had to roomshare. It was invasive and not acceptable for someone in her condition. 3.) The staff messed up and called a family member of mine who was the old medical POC (this person has Alzheimer's and that is why she was no longer the medical POC). This resulted in stress and confusion for this person. Not to mention, was not what was signed off on or OK-ed 4.) my aunt had a procedure stalled because I had to sign off on her anesthesia and I left the hospital for just a little bit. I was told to come back and sign the paperwork before they could proceed. Once I got there they apologized and told me "sorry, you actually can always give consent over the phone." Well that would have been great to know as I rushed there and you stalled an important procedure. 5.) Back to the lung thing- my aunt ended up passing away at this hospital for a few issues but fluid of the lungs was a main one. I can't help but think of what would have happened if the ER doc a few months ago took her seriously and admitted her then.

Go to an immediate care first if it just seems like a minor injury like a sprain. Save the ER for more major issues like major fractures.
I would contact your doctor to ask, as Google Maps probably doesn't have the best information on that test.
This is the daycare associated with the hospital
I don't think there are, but you can search on their website
It shows that he's affiliated with Centegra of which the hospital in Mchenry is a part of. I'd call his office directly to make sure.
I imagine it's largely based on how busy it is at that time and how long it takes all the doctors sign off on the release.
