Take long lunches after receiving multiple 911 phone calls about domestic violence. They actually went out for milkshakes and returned to the station after being made aware of the 911 call. Absolutely pathetic. Thank God no one was killed while you were enjoying your long lunch.

The police in Centralia, in general, are polite and friendly. My issue is with traffic enforcement. There is almost no enforcement of speed limits in this city, and while many might be tempted to say that is a good thing, it really isn't, especially if you are a pedestrian. It is terrifying sometimes how people speed in this city. People don't just speed, they crazy speed, like doing 50 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. I live on an intersection where people regularly are doing 45-55 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. That is the corner of North Pearl St. and 1st street as people are travelling south entering the city. I have lived here 18 months and I have never seen this intersection being enforced not one single time. Last time I complained I predicted there would be a bad accident, and two weeks later, there was, and in front of my eyes. It was a miracle no one was hurt or killed. Next time, if someone is killed, I'm going to make it known that the police were made aware and did nothing. I was told that there is no budget for enforcement for traffic laws, but that doesn't explain everything. IMO, the police here are apathetic. CPD: Please do your jobs. The city is not safe for pedestrians.

Probably. People get hit there all the time. Meth and trains dont go well together. #lewiscounty
I heard scanner traffic at just about noon, sending emergency crews to a train vs pedestrian accident near the 200 block of Rodgers Rd in Chehalis.
