Date night with my guy and he made reservations for dinner at 730 pm. It was not crowded and the atmosphere was pleasant. Autumn was our server. She had a great attitude and was attentive to our table. We both sat together on the same side of the table, able to see the view because on the other side of our table, the beam would block some of it. Lucky for us we could see a barge transporting a heap of trash lol. Started with drinks, he had a Moscow mule, I had a Crown and coke back. The guy brought our bread which is the round sour dough and we went straight for the middle. Nice crunch of the crust, warm and soft inside. For appetizers we had calamari, and sauteed tender tips. Both were good. I ordered prawns and scallops on pesto risotto and it was decent. He ordered a Wagyu Burger. I meant to take a bite but never got to it. We had a great time. Good food, drinks, great service, nice views, awesome conversation and laughs.

The Cliff House Restauant, Marine View Rd. Tacoma, Washington As you park and enter this lovely eatery, you will immediately have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Puget Sound and Commencement Bay and a picturesque marina. Fortunately, the restaurant takes ideal advantage of these spectacular vistas by having a “wall” of picture windows. The interior ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. Start with a delicious beverage or glass of wine. I suggest the roasted pineapple margarita which is unique and flavorful. You can then proceed to mouthwatering seafood and/or steak selections. I recommend the Surf and Turf, an 8oz filet and 6oz lobster tail. Don’t forget the appetizers and dessert. I recommend the deep-fried cheesecake. The service is second to none. Ask for Lisa, and you will receive friendly, thorough and expert service. Highly recommended!

Amazing views of the sound and Mt. Rainier from both inside and outside of the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wait for food to be served didn’t take much time so that was good. Clam chowder soup so a bit salty so I think ordering it with the bread would be better. Calamari was perfect from its crispness and the sauce. Shrimp and scallop dish was tasty but kind of surprised by how small the scallops were. We wanted our steak to be medium rare but I think it was slightly more medium. It went really well with the butter and potato was good. The corner of the plate was chipped off so that wasn’t aesthetically pleasing at all. Cheesecake with the strawberry sauce didn’t look like it would be good since I always eat the cheesecake as is, but it was a perfect combination.
