Omg! I love this place! The staff is awesome. The rooms are like a little apartment, very clean, microwave and refrigerator. Great place to stay. The entire hotel team is wonderful. Great all around, cool restaurant in hotel. U will love.

Room smelled like dog, luckily I had some wrinkle reducer to spray it. A/C comes on for a sec then goes off. Building is old. Staff on the other hand were super friendly. If you go to on site restaurant just get a regular burger. The specialty burgers are huge and messy. They were good just too much stuff on em.

We were very pleased not only with our room but the Manager of the restaurant, Frank accommodated us to set up tables for our family reunion which included 10 adults and a child. Everyone was comfortably seated, the food and drinks flowed very nicely and we all had a great time. And the food and beverages were awesome as well as our waitress. We will do this again at the Maplewood as we have stayed here even before the Holiday Inn/ IHG took over and each time it was a pleasant experience. Our beds were very comfortable and the breakfast choices were good and hot which is important when you want scrambled eggs. The front desk staff was very courteous and answered all of our questions.

This hotel was chosen as the place to stay for a large dance competition being held locally. The hotel provided a block rate for our group and was expecting several guests that night. Many of us arrived late in the evening on a Friday night with small children. Our children all had to be up very early the next morning. When we arrived close to 8pm that night, our rooms still weren't available. We waited quite a while to get our rooms - which was unfortunate. These rooms should have been available at 4pm that afternoon. The woman at the front desk, frazzled - called up to the upper floors - looking for a maid to come in and check certain rooms to see if they were clean. Most, were not. As we waited around in the lobby, a couple of the maids made their way down to the lobby and slowly walked around aimlessly with blank stares when the receptionist asked them again if our rooms were ready. There was absolutely NO sense of urgency and NO sensitivity to the fact that it being 9pm at night, with a lobby full of tired parents and children waiting for their rooms (which were all booked months ago). The entire situation was completely unacceptable. The receptionist desperately asked the maid service to "at least make sure the sheets were clean". Really? Just the sheets? When we finally were given the room keys, we got up to our room to find a poorly made bed with sheets that just simply covered the bedspread. The tub was dirty. It was obvious that the room wasn't fully cleaned. I was too tired to even care at that point. We were there for less than 10 hours, but I'll never come back. Do better Holiday Inn. You may be a 2 star hotel, but you can do better.
