You could try King Of Tokyo. I can't remember what the age recommendation is but I think a 6 year old could do it with a little help. Otherwise a trip to the Game Shoppe would be totally worth it. Their staff is so nice and super helpful. I'm certain they will help you find something that your family will love.

Absolutely, we are a full service store. We have tons of game mats, ones you draw yourself or ones that you choose for your setting. Our selection of tabletop miniatures for D&D characters is quite large as well. Ask any of our staff to find the right miniature for you.
