From my understanding you need a license if you plan on fishing at any lake. I would guess that you need one here as well.

Yes but catch n release.I wouldnt recommend eating anything you catch there! I have been there on many occasions and all water life was layed out on ground dead due to refinery across the street.Go to Cabrillo or Redondo pierr.

Im not a grass expert but it looks like fescue the lake is lined with something else. Maybe you can call the Department of parks to get the facts.

The gates are open from sunrise to sunset. Rangers boot everyone out just before dark and lock the gates
