I have visited this welcome center many times. The other commenters that say it is hard to find or has poor signage must be blind. There are literally multiple signs leading you there from both nearby freeway exits. Less than one block from either exit. There is even a large blue sign that says it is in the wildlife museum. The only thing they could do to make it more noticeable would be to make the signs neon lighted or possibly have a giant orange mascot outside with a lighted arrow. But this isn't Las Vegas. And these people would probably miss that, too. You simply have to pay attention. Also, this is not a vacation planning service. Most of the staff are very knowledgeable, but generally they can give you broad information about local and state attractions. But if you want details or more in depth information, they have brochures and then you need to actually go to the places your want to learn about. And you should not expect them to make any reservations for you. They are not travel agents or weathermen.

The staff was extremely helpful, they have so much information to share. We went in looking for area info and maps, and stayed to wander through the World Wildlife Museum, very cool to see so many animals on display!

I'm only aware of state park passes offered at the entrance of state parks.
