Dr. Laura Matsen Ko is an Awesome doctor!!! She just did the total right hip replacement for me and I am so pleased with the results! Pretty much was able to do everything the first day, but had to take it easy for the first week or two to give time for the bone and muscle to heal, but absolutely no pain in the hip. After four weeks felt so strong and good to go. Just golfed the other day after 6 weeks with absolutely no pain. The incision healed nicely, confident the implants used were of the highest quality, after watching a lot of YouTube and reading. So amazed at the capable hands of Dr. Matsen Ko, and grateful she came into my life! <3

I really got lucky when a good friend recommended going to see Dr Snitly for my troublesome knee. He requested all the appropriate images in a very timely manner. He then referred me to Dr. MatDen Ko. I really got lucky there. My total knee replacement surgery went very smoothly. The most impressive part was the whole team was able to show up in one of Seattle’s worst snow events. Four days after surgery I was off of pain meds, six days after I was using only a cane, eight days after I didn’t need any assistance walking at all. I believe Dr. Matson Ko is a very talented surgeon and credit her for my swift recovery.

Dr. Wahl and his team repaired both my knees two years ago and truly changed my life. Over a period of ten years starting in my mid-twenties, I went from being able to run and hike long distances to experiencing knee pain from just walking a few blocks. I saw many healthcare professionals during that time and tried everything (physiotherapy, cortisone, massage, needling, orthotics anti-inflammatory medication, and even saw a neurologist) but nothing worked. Dr. Wahl told me he could fix my knees with surgery after I'd been told repeatedly that wasn't an option for my issues. I can now hike 15 miles, run as far as I want to, downhill ski, and much more with zero pain. Not exaggerating when I say it changed my life.

Dr. Toomey and his team replaced both of my knees, one at a time with seven months between the surgeries. I am a woman in my early 70s. I felt very well cared for throughout the process. I was pleased with the information they provided beforehand and with the attention they paid to me during my post-surgery recovery at the hospital. They found me a physical therapist for post-surgery that was within walking distance of my home and covered by Medicare. They also gave me a really excellent extended release pain management device. The results of the surgery were great. Before the surgery, I was in so much pain that I could barely walk half a block and couldn't stand for more than a minute. After the surgery, I can walk a mile with no pain without a cane, and I can stand for half an hour. I barely have any scarring either.

Hi Pat, I think that would be somewhere on the Swedish website. We are not part of the Swedish Medical Group network. We do our inpatient surgeries at Swedish and are located in one of their buildings. Also, to my knowledge, Swedish does not have their own Ortho's - they partner with ortho clinics in the community such as ours.
We do not. Although we do have Orthopedic Surgeons specializing in the Foot & Ankle.
