We rarely stay at RV parks and prefer Stat Parks or Corp of Engineers but we had no choice on the night we stayed. It was very crowded and expensive. Lots of families with children.

I would try Meramec Caverns campgrounds, they do that. A lot of people do a day there, they have a nice gravel beach access.
