Emiquon is an IL gem, great place to see birds and other wildlife, and a globally important wetland (RAMSAR) to boot, operated by The Nature Conservancy in IL.

This is a beautiful nature preserve with boardwalks over aquatic habitats, boat ramps, and some shelters near the water. I’ve seen turtles chasing each other, diving ducks, and lots of barn swallows in nests. It’s a good place to spend the day and I really feel like I still haven’t fully experienced this place.

You would have to speak to the nature conservancy but i would bet the answer is no. I've only seen line fishing done there
Increase duck numbers? Really? Did you notice how nothing stayed there last year? When you draw it down in the fall is when ducks would stop over during migration. Also its not for fishing. Warnings all over fish are not safe to eat. Im guessing that sewer they call the Illinois river floods into it and has polluted it beyond repair. Ill share this info on the duck forum I belong to.
