Took a tour which was very informative, answered all our questions, & would love to know if others enjoyed it as much

Much more interesting than I expected, a volunteer docent took us on a tour and he shared personal stories of his time as an active Marine. Our grand-daughters loved it. Be aware that this is definitely for older kids (10+). Much reading is involved which bored our 5 yr. old. He was pleased that he got 2 plastic soldiers at the front desk but went next door to the library with his mother fairly rapidly, especially as it turned out is no gift shop. We spent almost 2 hours here and only left because of hunger 🙂

They have actual veterans who give you tours. There is something more personal and more meaningful when you have someone who not only has studied war history, but also lived it! It took us about 1 1/2 hours, but we enjoyed every second of it.
