Great local history museum! We went for a homeschool field trip. The historian was very knowledgeable and interacted well with the kids. The displays were very informative. Unfortunately, due to limited space, they were more geared to adults, but the program historian did well bringing things to their level.

The guy who worked there really put in his all with helping me learn more about Columbus and its history. The place has an entire room dedicated to old commercial radios and even has a 100+ year old phonograph that you can play with.

Our annual tradition of Trees Through Time which runs from Nov. 29 thru Dec. 22 is free to the public. Donations are accepted. Hours for DECEMBER are Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm. Normal museum hours are Tues - Thurs 10am - 4pm.
Bartholomew County Historical Society would be a good place to start. Bartholomew County has good records. They often have records for other counties. I would probably look for newspaper obits first. Bartholomew County Historical Society can give advice. You can also join a Facebook group called Indiana Genealogy Network. They can help you also.
