Needed a new washer and dryer, so went to the nearest Lowes which was in Franklin KY. Went on a Sunday morning around 9:30, knowing that it would be slower and thinking I could get some assistance with my purchase when they weren’t slammed with customers. Walked around the washers and dryers multiple times- reading tags and familiarizing myself with the in-stock items. Stood in front of one particular set for 15 minutes. While doing so a group of four Lowes employees stood maybe five feet from me, arguing about their work, their co-workers, their weekend, and generally anything else they could think of to whine about. I made eye contact with two of them, and even waved my hand at one of them, but was ignored. That group of four disbanded and two more employees walked over and stood in the same general area (must be ‘the spot’ for group discussions). They began discussing the work day, what tasks they needed to complete, etc..Still no one asked if they could assist me. As I was walking out, after about 20 minutes in the store, I passed the Customer Service Desk, made eye contact and smiled at the employee manning this area, and as I approached her desk she promptly got up and walked away. What happened to customer service? Guess I’ll go to The Home Depot and see if I can get someone to assist me with making this purchase. If you’re just going in to pick up something off the shelf, and don’t need any assistance, this place is probably ok.

Huge let down! Lowes advertised a Halloween activity for children. Qw had to sign up online. Arrived at Lowes only to find out that it wasn't an activity. No crafts as promised. No trick or treat as promised. Just 3 pieces of candy dropped in a bucket. Very disappointing. We will never sign up for anything at Lowes again. (Other parents showed up only to be disappointed too. They were also told there would be activities and treats throughout the store).
