I’m not even going to mention how filthy this place is. The staff on the adolescent girls unit were terrible these staff are a detriment to the mental health of the adolescent patients they will not allow patients to express themselves in any “inappropriate” manners or such as talking about past S.A., abuse, firearms, & other weapons staff make micro aggressions towards patients of different ethnic backgrounds they will not give required hair products reason being it’s not necessary only necessary products are shampoo and conditioner when in reality a moisturizer and hair oil are required for some hair textures Virginia on the 3rd floor unit has called my mother a b*tch infront of other staff while Judy the nurse manager lies for her I want those cameras checked because even my mother heard her and I heard and saw her say it from the other side of the glass, Kayla on the same unit has been very disrespectful to my mother by hanging up mid conversation and saying “I’ll do it again…” Tyler a hall nurse on unit 3 adolescent girls unit is very disrespectful by ignoring patients when calmly asking questions overall all the staff here are lazy they can’t even keep the little little kids from bringing their stuffed animals into the cafeteria but adolescents are forced to leave their stuffed toys and are told it’s for infection control and to keep people from passing notes.

when i was sent there no one cared about the patients at all. Plus it was extremly dirty when i was going to sleep the first night i was there, there was hair on my pillow still. None of the staff every helped expect for 3. Over all im still traumatized from it.

I was a patient here at this hospital, and it was absolutely terrible. I was told by many people that it was an amazing place that would help me, and I even put effort into helping myself- but the staff were incredibly rude, and there wasn’t many staff working on the floor. Although the food was really good, and the cooks were super polite, although I did not like how they would not tell me what medicine/ingredients in food or cups they would give us. The showers were with cold water, and it was rusty. I wasn’t allowed to have a blanket so I had to sleep on the cold hard mattress. Pretty much y’all did nothing and just made everything worse. I am recovered now and better but im writing this to attempt to help others to choose a different place 😟

I was sent to Lincoln prairie 2 weeks ago and this place is just horrible. We signed wavers when we got in that gave us patient rights but those rights were not taken seriously by staff. Whenever we sent letters the letters were not sent. The staff there yelled at us calling us names and screaming at us. The tablets they give for school work don't work. Art supplies are broken and in short supply. It was dirty and had blood on the walls. The rooms were at 60° at night and we were allowed One blanket the width of a towel.

The only way you are able to talk to somebody in there is if you are on the list to be able to talk to them and you have the security answer and they are allowed to have one phone call out and two phone call and but if you are not on the list you will not be able to call and you will not be able to get any information at all
love you
i was a patient there and they did the same thing. switch my meds. i would take them at different times a day. my mom didn’t know exactly what they had put me on until i was discharged.
Visiting hours used to be Tuesday 6-7 and Saturday and Sunday mornings. This was for adolescent girls. I think they may have different times depending on age/ gender. You should call to be sure.
100 all together about 20 on each level
Generally there's two to a room, but if circumstances call for a patient to be in a room by him or herself those accommodation are made
Lincoln Prairie does have a gym with basketball hoops, an air hockey table and board games that are available when visiting youth there.
They give meds if the children's Doctor has given them a prescription
Most of the people I knew were there for depression/suicidal ideation or they were sent there instead of juvie
That place is bad on fights it not to sucier either
You can call but if you are underage you will need your parents they will send someone to assess you can call 585-1180 they can tell you what to do please call them
Call admission and ask them. Is she depressed? Suicidal? Defiant?
You can try. I'm not sure if they can legally tell you he's a patient but if you're on an approved call list maybe they'll let you talk to him
Yeah. Starting at 3 if I'm not mistaken
Usually 3 times, and hour each time, and I believe the days are Wednesday Saturday and Sunday
Yes they let you watch movies and do coloring books ( well at least from my experience on level 4)
Nope
What is a chest binder
Can you talk to a parent or grandparent? Is there someone at school like a teacher or counselor that you can talk to? Let someone know you need some help- your life matters. Maybe try calling to see what you need to do for admission.
I'd try calling them & tell them about the calls & who you are.Maybe they can talk to you directly
They also have a 5 day you can sign. But it does depend on their behaviors ECT otherwise. 7-15 days is standard.
They can't answer that. Ask their parent(s)
6-7 on Wednesday and I think 1030 to 1130
i went there from the er, later went back and just went to the er again
The Noll Pavilion is next door Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center and it is for only children if you're an adult being a teen you need to go to the mental health on 8th Street go in as a walk in and then they'll do an assessment and then I'll get you a therapist and a psychiatrist
Please stop cutting yourself isn't the answer it's not going to solve anything do you need help you can talk to me I'm available if you need somebody to talk to where are you what location are you at so that I can send help to you
I was there twice and yes for the most part it is very true. They could have possibly changed and gotten better since I last was there but I doubt it. A lot of the staff doesn't care. They take in too many patients and there were girls literally on mattresses on the floor in the hallway because they didn't have enough room. Constantly repeating the same topics because of people leaving and coming so frequently. It wasn't a safe place for me. I recommend the behavioral health hospital in Peoria, IL if your child is able to be transferred or if they have to go again in the future. Try and ask LP as many questions as you can of your concerns. They a lot of times changed the subject with my parents when they asked serious questions.
