Questions & Answers

Do you take care of Newborn rabbits? I found a destroyed nest in my backyard and three newborn baby rabbits. My mom called a rabbit sanctuary, but they haven't called back in 2 hours

LunarDragon | Nov 1, 2020
KRISTIN L HOFFMANN | Nov 1, 2020

You should call first. They do take baby rabbits but they are hard to keep alive if very little. They might recommend a way to reunite them with their mom.

I don't think so. You would probably have to take them, but try calling. They may have volunteers willing to come pick them up. You never know.

Call them.

A bird had it's nest under my patio, however, because of bad weather the nest fell down, and one young bird was displaced in my lawn. It seems to be able to move very little and is slowly rocking his head back and forth. What should I do?

Do you take Domestic rabbit, if not do you know any resources who would. My Niece has a yr old rabbit that she is going to release it to the wild, I'm afraid it wouldn't make it in the wild. Please help

Donna Foster | Jul 4, 2022
Heather C-E | Jul 4, 2022

The Center does not take domestic animals. And you're right, the domestic rabbit will probably not survive. There are house rabbit rescues in the St Louis area. Please google for them.

Do they trap coyotesthat are near subdivions

steve alexander | Nov 2, 2019
Natalie Schott | Nov 2, 2019

Not unless it is hurt or injured. Coyotes are all over subdivisions. They shouldn't be removed from their territory unless they have posed a real threat to humans. Firstly, they will keep other predators away and secondly, they will eat mice, moles, and snakes.
