Adult protective services division is always om top of it when I have to call in and make a report for a patient. Child protective services on the other hand is despicable. Natasha and Kay (cps case workers) are liars and manipulative.

I only dealt with the receptionist but she was SO helpful both times I came in.

I’ve been speaking with Ms. Blount in the Snaps benefit department for the past several weeks waiting on verification forms to be sent to my email that she claims to be “waiting on” but she still has not forwarded them over. I have been waiting on these documents religiously. I called her back 1 hour later after speaking with her today. It rung once & was forwarded to voicemail. This is ridiculous playing with peoples livelihood. Please stop getting jobs you are not passionate about.

You can apply for benefits online in any city that have computers in their lobby to apply online but make sure you specify your city on the online application...the website to apply online is www.dss.virginia.gov once your on the site go to the Assistance tab at the top of the menu screen in blue, then click on what you need assistance with...if that is not as user friendly as you like, go into your local office and get assistance in person with applying
All of those forms can be done online if you have the web address

Check with Medicare
Nina, there is a medicaid waiver that is called CCC Plus, I believe. It was formally the EDCD (Elderly or Disabled Consumer Directed) waiver. It is based on financial and care level needs. I would suggest that you call the Health Department, not Social Services. If you can't find any information, contact the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) in Richmond and ask specifically for the Medicaid waiver for disabled elderly. This will provide medicaid and respite services for your SIL if your MIL qualifies.
Call (757) 382-2000 and state that you'd like to make a cps (child protective services) report
Yes you will have to switch over
