Our company DJ'd at this venue in June for a reception. The couple had musicians for their wedding ceremony. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, it is quite a long walk for the bridal party so just be prepared in the spring and summer months for warmer weather. Depending on the time of day you marry there is a gorgeous, tall tree that shades where the guests sat but didn't shade the bridal party. The reception and cocktail hour are very "sociable" with a seating area, fire pit, look outs, a place for a tent for the outside bar and lawn for the games. The reception inside does get hot so please consider renting fans for the building. Some guests tried to open the barn doors for air but the sun came directly inside on them so I think they decided the shadowed heat was better than the direct sunlight. The place is gorgeous and has so many options to decorate from the tables to hanging planters, drapery and lights. Everything is a very smooth transaction for load in and load out for vendors. The outside hanging lights make for a romantic evening setting and would be an awesome sparkler exit photo.

A friend's daughter got married at Honeysuckle Ridge recently. This is a very nice wedding venue. However, they need to figure out a way to get some air through the barn during the reception but keep the sun glare down. We had to keep the doors closed during most of dinner because the sun was in other guests eyes when the doors were open. Maybe a strategically placed shade sail along with some high volume but quiet fans would help. We almost melted!
