If you have spinal issues or sciatic nerve issues this would not be a good train ride for you as it is very very bumpy and I do have those issues and I am still sore after 5 days other than that it's a fun place to tour

For the most part, this was a nice place and enjoyable time..Except we were attacked by deer flies. I had four bites and my grandson two. When we stopped at the half way point to turn back, the engineer asked how many were "stung" and he handed out sting ointment. He said the "yellow jackets" were bad and a lot of people were getting stung lately. My issue is that if they knew about this and it was a problem, we should have been warned before hand. Some passengers may not have wanted to risk the painful bites.

Wonderful historical daytrip. Volunteers very knowledgeable & friendly. Many antiques in the country store which were in great condition. Beautiful surroundings, including sightings of blue heron, deer & a quaint family of ducks. History buffs would find it a memorable experience.

What a true historical gem. Great place to go for an inexpensive day trip. The train ride is fun and unique. The General Store has some really neat displays. The all volunteer staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended.
