Union PT, Dr. Joshua F. provided great healing for my painful back and the exercise steps of the program for steadfast improvement. His explanations helped me to understand the physical condition that needed correct ways of exercise instead of pushing myself to do hard and many hours of it. Thank you for the wonderful care of the team including the admin office and Cloe's kindness.

Union PT has helped me build out my wrist strength after taking a fall earlier this year and I feel like I'm at a 100% now! Michelle develops a baseline of mobility and strength using quantitative measures and allowed me to see my progress over time. I appreciated that their education on anatomy so I could understand how each exercise would help me improve. The take-home exercises and materials were clear to follow. They have a wide variety of equipment that kept each session interesting and fun. I would highly recommend union PT to all my friends and family. Thank you!!

Union PT is a true life-saver. Staffed by professional, kind, and skillful therapists, including Jon Sparks who has patiently worked with me to develop and implement a rehabilitation plan. In addition to that, Jon noted an issue impacting my healing and referred me to a Union PT colleague with expertise in that area. I appreciate Jon's insight am looking forward to working with his colleague. The entire Union PT team have been incredibly generous and understanding. I can't imagine getting through this past year of acute physical pain, unexpected illness, and family trauma without the expertise, kindness, and support of Union PT. I trust them and consider the sessions to be an invaluable investment in my health and wellbeing.

I started going to Union Physical Therapy for a torn tendon. The physician recommended trying PT to see if it was possible to avoid surgery. With the exceptional therapy provided by Sarah Kaiser, I am now fully recovered, without surgery. Their new facility is beautiful, and I appreciate their COVID precautions. Can't say enough positive things about Union PT!

Questions & Answers

How long will my first appointment be?

Samantha Traveller | Aug 11, 2022
Union Physical Therapy - Seattle (Owner) | Aug 12, 2022

Thanks for asking Samantha. Each of our appointments, including your initial evaluation, will be 60 minutes. During this time, you will be working with your physical therapist for the entire duration of the appointment. We believe this model of care helps our patients to get back to what they love doing faster than when they are working with a physical therapy aid. For your initial appointment, we recommend patients arrive 10 minutes early to complete their intake paperwork and meet our front office staff.

Are you accepting new patients now?

Thanks for reaching out. Union Physical Therapy IS INDEED accepting new patients both in-clinic and via our secure TeleHealth platform. We partner with many of the larger insurance providers and have a talented group of therapists specializing in a wide-array of musculoskeletal injuries. Feel free to give us a call at 206.588.0855 or schedule online at www.unionpt.com/schedule today!

Do you accept my insurance?

Sam Thomas | Aug 11, 2022
Union Physical Therapy - Seattle (Owner) | Aug 12, 2022

Great question! Union Physical Therapy providers are contracted with a majority of the major health insurance networks including Premera, Regence, First Choice Health Network, Kaiser Permanente, Aetna and Cigna. In addition, we work with Labor and Industries/Worker's Comp claims as well as most auto insurance claims. If your health plan falls outside this list, no worries! Feel free to give us a call and we can confirm how your out-of-network benefits compare to your in-network rates. Finally, for our patients whose insurance we are unable to partner with, we're happy to offer a 35% discount on billed charges when paid at the time of service.

Do I need a referral for physical therapy?

William Zharinov | Aug 11, 2022
Union Physical Therapy - Seattle (Owner) | Aug 12, 2022

Washington State is considered a "direct access" state for physical therapy. This means for a vast majority of insurance plans, a referral from your doctor isn't a requirement. Prior to your initial appointment, our administrative team will confirm your benefits and will provide you a copy of what we find.

What are you guys doing in regards to COVID-19?

David Julius | Aug 11, 2022
Union Physical Therapy - Seattle (Owner) | Aug 12, 2022

Great question David. At Union PT, our ultimate goal is to provide the best quality care at the highest safety standards. Following guidance from the CDC, Governor Inslee and our top professional colleagues in the field, we have implemented several changes to our operations since the pandemic has begun. Firstly, our building's front entrance is locked to ensure only patients and guests of our neighboring tenants are able to enter. We ask our patients to please call our front desk team when they arrive and we will be happy to run down to let them in. Secondly, we are asking all of our patients and staff to please wear a CDC-approved face mask while in our building. If you do not have one, we would be happy to provide one for you. Additionally, we ask all patients and staff to please make use of our hand sanitizer before and after their scheduled appointment. Also, all of our staff and patients will undergo a brief health-screening questionnaire to ensure they are not presenting...

How much does an appointment cost for Union Physical Therapy?

Aditya Gupta | Aug 11, 2022
Union Physical Therapy - Seattle (Owner) | Aug 12, 2022

Here at Union, we choose to be as transparent as possible with our pricing so there are no surprises on your bill. If you are planning on using your health care coverage for physical therapy, the cost/visit depends very much on your specific plan. Our front office team verifies every patient's insurance coverage prior to their first appointment and will have a print-out available for you which shows your benefits details for physical therapy. For those patients who elect to not use their health care coverage or have a plan we are unable to accept, we do offer a flat rate fee of $170.00 for the initial evaluation and $156.00 for each subsequent follow-up appointment. This equates to a 35% discount on services.

Do you accept Medicaid/WA Apple plans?

Jessica Grace | Aug 11, 2022
Union Physical Therapy - Seattle (Owner) | Aug 12, 2022

Good Afternoon Jessica, Unfortunately, Union Physical Therapy providers are not able to accept any Medicaid plans. However, we are still able to see Medicaid patients at our self-pay rate. For self-pay, we offer a 35% discount on all services. Additionally, we do work with patients to set up payment plans to ensure that that are still able to get the quality care they deserve here at Union PT. Feel free to give our front desk a call at 206.588.0855 and we'd be happy to answer any further questions you have.

Does Union Physical Therapy take Medicare?

Christina Bern | Aug 11, 2022
Union Physical Therapy - Seattle (Owner) | Aug 12, 2022

Union PT is currently in the process of contracting with Medicare Part B. This lengthy process unfortunately does take some time for Medicare to process all of the required documentation. It is our goal to be able to see Medicare Part B patients in the first quarter of 2021 and we will be updating our existing patients with our status as we know more. Unfortunately, Medicare currently restricts non-contracted providers from charging our customary self-pay rate so we are unable to see new Medicare Part B patients at this time. For patients with the Regence MedAdvatage plan, we are still able to see you here at Union PT. For existing patients that are looking at transitioning to Medicare, please feel free to reach out to our office to discuss what options are available.
