Sproul State Forest is part of the Wilds of Pennsylvania an area that is remote beautiful and teaming with wildlife. Pack a lunch and buy gas because neither are always readily available.

Sproul state forest has alot to offer including The donut hole trail. Which is one of the best trail systems in Pennsylvania with several spurs, and sections connecting to various state parks and attractions. Highly recommend. Theres also an abundance of picturesque and scenic landscapes throughout. The forest is well maintained. A great place to escape.

Beautiful place to nature hike. Always 10-20 degrees cooler up there. Still haven’t seen my 1 st bear yet but I’m always looking. Plenty of deer but I can say that with the season coming to an end.

Went to Whiskey Springs ATV area. Good trails, nice variety of trails. Some tight spots.

Just as Robert said you would have to get a permit from the forestry and that is pending on where you want to camp. Also fires are definitely prohibited. You are better off to goto a state park or somewhere. Good luck.
