My girlfriend's and I flew in from Philadelphia and had a Nashville vacation for a few days. I googled what was the best steakhouse in Nashville and Jimmy Kelly's came up first. What a beautiful mansion and delicious dinner we had. Joe and Jess were our waiters and they definitely are an asset to your establishment. Thanks again We will be back!

Took my wife here for her birthday. We were pretty early for our reservation so we checked in and went to the bar. The bar tender was very personable and attentive. The hostess came and got us from the bar 15 minutes before our reservation and seated us. Kenny was our waiter and he could not have been any better. Kenny was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was cooked perfectly and was delicious. We will be back soon!

Depends on the condition of his knees! LOL... but the answer is yes, people do wear shorts, and Jimmy Kelly's won't refuse service. That said, He'll probably feel a bit out of place, as others have said, casual slacks or jeans (and boots) are more the norm.
Personally, I wouldn't wear shorts but jeans/business casual is fine for me.
Do yourself a favor and use the valet. It's free, but make sure to tip the attendant!

No and I have a dairy allergy so I watch for special menu items.
No dress code but business casual is suggested. You will feel out of place if you dress in jeans and a sweatshirt
Unlike most restaurants Jimmy Kelly's reserves every single table in the restaurant. Check Open Table to make reservations. If the date you want is booked call the restaurant and give your name and number to whomever is working. They will call you be k if a party cancels. This is what I had to do for certain date. The earlier you book your table the better. Especially if you want a weekend or holiday like upcoming Valentine's. Hope this helps.
