I’ve never stayed here personally. I work at a trach and vent rehab center as a therapist and lost count how many patients admit to our facility following this kindred, and have only complaints. Patients come to us from there with bed sores, pneumonia, and very sad therapy stories. Many of the patients improve when they come to my facility, but per kindred therapy team “pt is not a candidate” and they discharged them after evaluations only, without actually providing the therapy that would help them. The speech therapist who is also the director of rehab, doesn’t use evidence based practice when transferring patients to oral diets, resulting in recurrent pneumonia. If I could give negative stars, I would!!

My brother was transported to Kindred Hospital from another hospital in Seattle. I live out of state and with the Covid lock down, visiting wasn’t an option. With his medical limitations, communication was a challenge. Jayne Khwatenge went out of her way to make sure we could communicate with each other and stay in contact with each other as much as possible. We had some issues connecting sometimes, if it wasn’t the time difference, or our zoom calls not wanting to connect for whatever reason, but she never gave up or quit trying. I know she has a million things to do but she never makes you feel like you’re bothering her or that your concerns aren’t important. She is the most caring and compassionate patient advocate any family member could hope to work with. My brother has recently moved from Kindred. I know the new staff at his new facility won’t be able to hold a candle to Kindred and no one will ever be able to match the special personality and caring personality that Jayne has for her patients and their families. I will be forever grateful to her. Vonda

To all the staff; from the front door security, to the case manager, the director of nursing and all the professionals who provide altruistic love to the patients EVERY DAY. I express my utmost gratitude for what you have done and would love to tell the world of the compassion and caring that you provide. Thank you. Thank you, for what you do. My loved one was in no better care ever, than with you. As a care provider myself, I know that there is no other team that have the level of BEST that you all have. I love the staff they have listen to our family and taken such great care of our loved one. The nurses are amazing! Dr Matthew’s and Renee are the best. They listened about his pain and have helped him in a difficult time. The director Karen came by and was so nice to us. This place is the best. Do not hesitate to bring your loved one here.
