Won't be donating through Missoula Red Cross ever again. The older, shaky handed phlebotomist fella gave me a massive hematoma after punching the needle straight through the vein, so bad that I couldn't donate. Unhooked me, handed me a pamphlet, and said I could leave. It's very clear he is not confident in what he's doing and certainly shouldn't be doing it unsupervised!

What is minimum age to donate? 17? But some states allow 16 with parental consent. Teenage boy. Healthy and 130 pounds. Can he donate at 16 in Montana with consent?

So I have rheumatoid arthritis that is in remission. Can’t I donate?

If you go to the donor website, do the pre-donation reading. It will also go into a medication list for acceptable meds. I hope this helps. Congratulations on your remission!
