This is an amazing park for picnic and nature adventure. The animal farm is interesting. My kids saw some ladies riding the horses, they were amazed.

Cool trees, shaded paths, lots of wildlife, and farm animals (baby goats too)! The story walk is currently on the trail between Juel and Farrel-McWhirter

The park is quite big and has lot of open spaces. It has a scores of Barnyard animals for the little ones to see. One can spend some time in shadow on a bench. Enough of parking space.

I absolutely love this park! If you get there early enough you can see the animals. There are easy little trails, lots of shade, and a beautiful stream. My kids love the trees at this park and the huge fields to run around.

Yes, I walked our dog all over and she loved playing in the creek.
I think you need to go on the park district web site, go to Farrell McWhorter and see what it says. I think what they have are lessons, but I really don't know for sure.
This park is open during the day time. All the animals are domesticated and their area is open too. Check the site on maps for actual timings.
The Barnyard is open and the hours are currently 11am-3pm Monday through Saturdays.
The barns are closed for the rest of 2020. The horses are in their corrals and visible. I don't think they ever provided rides.
Horses, goats, pigs, bunnies, a cow. However, the animal area is closed for now
No. Gorgeous park and totally free to visit.
Unfortunately, no. They don't have any animal products for sale.
There is at least one "baby" pig. It's not as small as a piglet but it's still pretty cute.
You have to sign up for a class online. You can't just show up and ride.
