My grandfather waited 1 month for an appointment with a painful skin issue and has horizon hmo. We called his insurance company to make sure they accept his insurance and we called the office to double check if they accept his insurance and they said yes. After a month, my grandfather arrived and was told nope we don’t take that insurance, that’s Medicaid. I explained to them that even the insurance company said they do and she said they must’ve made a mistake and didn’t update. I don’t care that they don’t accept it, but the fact that they made us wait a month to shoot us down is very upsetting. The receptionist was extremely rude and it’s unfortunate that Dr. Ros hires incompetent staff to handle her patients.
