7/20/2022 I spent a month in this hotel and when I left, it was home. I observed teamwork in action, professionalism coupled with kindness and an esprit de corps I have not seen since I retired from Navy in 1996. No guest or task is too unimportant for the employees here to manage. Yes, even the intoxicated, rambunctious, loudest guests are treated with dignity. The dining room is an oasis of wonderful odors, housekeeping (often thankless) responds "can do" to requests, laundry women wash and tear all over in order to turnover rooms, Front Desk staff, gracious and accommodating, but empowered to deal with anything and anyone. I saw managers pushing laundry carts, turning over rooms and Front Desk staff with tools for minor repairs and cleaning air vents for rooms. Seriously, if you want to complain, there is always something. But I cannot. This team handled two snowstorms, two ice storms, at least one leaky ceiling from a bathtub overflow, juvenile sport teams, a team leader's sudden, emergent surgery, an employee walkout midday (petulant) and most likely far more invisible to me.I An elevator traveler told me she had had a terrible experience recently in another Holiday Inn and had been hesitant to stop. We chatted a bit. Next day she and her husband were both beaming. See, not JUST me!!

Rooms were big and super clean. Everyone was super nice. Breakfast was delicious, and located within walking distance of many food places, and stores

Was going to use IHG Rewards points. Wouldn’t let me reserve through the app. Called hotel, they couldn’t help. They told me to call IHG. Called IHG, they said they would have to call the hotel to get an exception. Hotel said they couldn’t approve an exception because their manager was out for the week. Someone has to be in charge and take over responsibility!? Terrible customer service. I’m quitting the IHG program and going to switch to one of their competitors.

Positive: Nice breakfast selection. The staff was excellent Negative: Pictures for the Hotel included a hot tub which this particular one does not have. I was really looking forward to the hot tub
