I've been a regular customer for years but I'm definitely learning my lesson that all garages in Reno are overpriced and all will try and swindle you if they can. They are all corrupt- NO EXCEPTIONS. I will say Phil is terrific and always has been. Staff here is a great bunch of guys. But they will try and pull the wool if you're not educated about your problem and repair cost. Last time, it was 600$ for a relatively minor repair, but I needed it done. That time they applied the 150$ diagnostic fee to the repair costs. This time the RFID chip in my key broke, which is a pretty simple fix. However, this time they didn't consult me on the repair costs PRIOR to fixing it. Fortunately I knew what the problem was already and had even gotten a 200$ repair cost quote from the Ford dealership to reprogram the system with 2 new keys. But they're my regular garage so I figured they'd be comparable and wouldn't stiff me. Guy calls me the next day. "Your total is 645$ even". I nearly spit my drink out. Now mind you 75$ of that extra was justified because they had to remove my interlock. But this time the 150$ WAS NOT applied to cost of repair. I took the matter up with them because I knew they were hosing me. They immediately knocked 200$ off because I balked. Immediately. Now--- what am I supposed to think about a garage that behaves like that? To a return customer????? I still like Phil but I definitely don't trust ANY of them. You can call me buddy, mate, pal all you want but if you're sticking a dagger in my back while you're doing it, well....that's what counts. And this will be the end of my business with them. Because God Forbid I wasn't aware of the cost, I would have gotten hosed. You know the expression: fool me once....

I had a low front tire and had to be at my destination in 3 hours. First guy I talked to said it would be at least 2-1/2 hrs but he would talk to the boss. The boss just understood my situation and got me right in. A special thanks to Phil for making it happen. When I get to Reno again I will stop and say hi. Please patronize this business.
