I wish there was a negative star. I was in this office to send a very important document overseas (I spend 2 months to complete this document, the process of getting signatures from embassy and other such processes). I carefully picked a waterproof envelope for my shipping, the lady insisted on using a paper envelope and when I said I am worried it may be wet by the time it reaches the destination she got angry, and she just threw the documents on the desk and left her seat. Then another person came after a long wait, he put my document in the paper envelope again, he asked me to write down the address in the form and he also typed the address into the computer after I did, before I could verify what he typed as address he asked me to make the payment (all in hurry). I said I want to check the address he typed, he said I don’t need to worry about it. (I saw the sticker later which he printed and sticked to my package had completely wrong address). Again, he says that’s ok. at that point I was confused, and I took the risk of trusting these people. Results ----Later we had to spend time and money on tracking this document and it was finally 15 days late, because it was directed to wrong address several times. After the mess I had to go through, the document was completely wet by the time it reached (Lost all the signatures and seals which I took from the embassy). This caused me a total loss of thousands of dollars including late fees, interest and other charges for rescheduling appointments, hotel rooms for witness and power of attorney etc. All because these people did not know how to do their jobs. I wish there was someone who can punish these people for what they do. Next time no one should go through all this mess like I had to. This is not the only experience I had, I have been there many times and every time I had a bad experience.

I have used the New Albany post office many times for urgent delivery and packages, the postal workers have been professional and personable. It is important to listen to how you need to complete the paperwork so everything goes smoothly. It is a post office, there is a pace of work and lines can get long but with patience and understanding on everyone's part, your parcel will get to where it needs to be.
