Love Chestnut Ridge! I've lived in the area for 52 years. I remember when there was a house at the top. And when they moved the 2 story house across the road. That something. Anyway...I always find new and exciting thinks during a hike. I hike for pleasure. I see and pass people who are hiking for fitness. I always think they are missing all the beauty of the place.

Only did the small loop and the pump track for my first time there and it was fun and well maintained from what I saw. They also have a park tool set at the parking lot if you happen to need them.

One of the cleanest, well kept parks I've been to. Very safe, secluded and calm. And an insane amount of squirrels and chipmunks that have no fear lol.

There are two docks that you can fish from, but only for children and senior citizens and I believe handicapped also. There's plenty of bluegill around the dock and some bass. My Dad caught a nice catfish there once too. It's my favorite place to take my kids, we go often all summer.
If you run everything about 2.5 to 3 miles, but with a few really steep hills, for added difficulty. Hope that helps.
The trails are mostly for walking since they have gravel on them. So the actual paved road entrance would be the only place to ride a bike on.

The official Metro Park website says that drones can be flown in most of the parks as long as you are not causing a disturbance. You can't take off or land on trails or where there is a lot of people.

Yep it's awesome too the blue gill nest right up under the decks and are easily tempted. It's a great place for children because they can see into the water clearly and watch the "fishing" happen.
