You'd go to court and clear it up. If you're the one who got the restraining order, you can ask the judge for leniency for the person you have the tpo on. You can also have it lifted by going to court and paying a fee. You can say, as I've had to, that it was (and I'm sure it was) an emotional matter, etc. I said that it was a rash decision when I got one on my ex and it was a family matter, that I wasn't in danger, etc. and they dropped it. Every case is different. Definitely the longer the time goes by the harder it is to get it fixed. Unfortunately, since my "family" has no sense of family, I know too much about this.
