You can help the homeless shelter here in Springfield Ohio by either donating clothing. Goods. And a bunch of other things. Main way to donate at our local shelter is buy going in and serving dinner! I know the family shelter has fellow friends of the community that go in every night and serve the residents dinner! The men's shelter doesn't have a program like that though! I think that there needs to be more people like us that think about and want to help out our less fortunate members of our community! You can call and ask to speak to the program manager and they will have a bunch more information on this subject! Thank you so much for thinking about those that are not blessed with a roof over their heads and a good hot meal in their bellies! If you need any help from me please ask and I'll help! Yes you have to be in at 5 for dinner then chores! After that at 6:30 you can leave again! If you have kids you have ru be in rooms and bed at 9! If not you have until 11 I believe!
They are 24 hours of not caring Abt your feelings, putting you in roach and bed bug infested places to live, giving u outdated food, treating you like a criminal, twisting their own failures onto you and then calling you a liar, making appointments to talk with you and see the filth the put you in acting like they didn't know and then never showing up TWICE and then not doing exit papers thinking they are punishing you by keeping you from getting real help. These are very evil ppl and specifically, Betty, James, Penny and Nashea! I personally dealt with these lying, 2faced, hypocrites and I am NOT demating their characters or that of this so called shelter because what I say is the truth and I have pictures, videos and documentation to back it all up! My lawyer says I'm good to go on the truth!

Are you a couple? If you're a single male then you'd go to the men's shelter and you'll have to get a police background check and be a resident of Clarke county
IHN also covers Clark County. They have a family shelter for families that have children and single women. And then they also have a shelter for men only.

Birth certificate, State ID showing Clark County residence or a piece of mail showing residence in Clark County! Plus a Clark County background check from the sheriff's department down at the county jail, it's free if you tell them it's for the shelter! Good luck and they will help a lot!!

There is no waiting list its first come first serve and depending if you have kids BUT as long as its freezing or below in temps they will put you up in the executive inn motel but they have to full.
You can take anything really but you only get a locker so you dont want to bring too much that you can put in all un there cause your not allowed to take anything upstairs to your room for the most part except like your phone but no purses no clothes. You are allowed to bring your own bedding including blankets and pillows if you want. But all clothes and bedding has to be put in druer for 20 minutes as soon as you get there its not allowed to b put in locker until its done. There is a $5 lock charge do u get a key amd can get in and out whenever vs them having to unlock it for you only certain times too but you get the money $5 back when you leave and return the key.
No not anytime you have chores you have to do everyday so u have to be downstairs by 8am and depending on what chore u have u could be out no later than 10am id say, you have to MUsT be back at 5pm for dinner then you have evening chores but you can leave after 630 and curfew is 9pm so there again you have to be in by 9pm. Of course all of this can be changed IF you have work etc you just have to talk to them
