Hi Sarah! Thank you for reaching out to us. We have some great reference staff that are very knowledgeable in the ancestry department, that would be more than happy to help you! We also have a History room that houses several books and documents that might be helpful as well. We have a microfilm reader that has access to census records, newspapers, etc... and we offer several online ancestry databases free to our patrons for in in house use, too. It depends on if the book is on hold for someone else. Otherwise most books auto renew.
You need an ID with your current address (or a piece of mail with current address) to get a card. I do not believe you need a card to use a computer, just your ID. Talk to the reference desk (take a left when you enter, the small desk by the computer lab)

Copy machine is really nice tech. They have a scanner, but I have not used it.
